I. Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering

The first-level discipline of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering comprises four research areas: Integrated Circuit Design and Design Automation, Intelligent Microsensors and Integrated Circuits, Micro- and Nanoelectronic Materials and Devices, and Intelligent Integrated Systems.

It is dedicated to cultivating leading and interdisciplinary talent in the field of integrated circuits, with core competencies in professional expertise, systematic thinking, practical capability, and a strong sense of responsibility. The discipline provides talent support for the independent and controllable development of core chips and systems in China’s aviation, aerospace, marine, and national defense science and technology industries.

II. Electronic Science and Technology

The first-level discipline of Electronic Science and Technology comprises five secondary disciplines: Circuits and Systems, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technology, Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics, Physical Electronics, and Integrated Avionics Technology.

Oriented toward major national and national defense needs, the discipline emphasizes interdisciplinary integration and broad-based professional education. It continuously supports the leapfrog development of national defense equipment in China’s electronic science and technology fields across air, space, sky, sea, and related domains.
