To further strengthen close ties between the School and its alumni and to unite and rally the broader alumni community, the School of Integrated Circuits And Microelectronics held a discussion and exchange with the Suzhou Alumni Association on the afternoon of April 17 at Taicang Zhihui Port. Dean Ma Binghe, Associate Dean Yin Yue, Assistant to the Dean Zhang Hao, and several faculty members of the School attended the meeting. More than 24 alumni, including Cui Tao, Yao Qishuang, Bai Yuehong, and Ma Yaqi, were present.

At the meeting, Ma Binghe, on behalf of the School, extended a warm welcome to the visiting alumni and briefly introduced the School of Integrated Circuits And Microelectronics’ development history, disciplinary orientations, talent cultivation, and other basic information. He stated that the School and its alumni have always formed a community with a shared future in development, and that alumni support is an important guarantee for advancing the School’s progress. The School will further strengthen close ties with the Suzhou Alumni Association and jointly promote high-quality development on both sides.

The alumni present recalled the past, spoke freely, and expressed gratitude to their alma mater for its education and training, as well as to the alumni platform for providing an opportunity to “come home” for exchange. The alumni unanimously stated that they would strongly support the School’s construction and development, while also hoping to further explore opportunities for school–enterprise cooperation based on Zhihui Port. Cui Tao, Secretary-General of the Suzhou Alumni Association, expressed the hope that this symposium would mark the beginning of school–enterprise cooperation, and that alumni would work hard to help the School advance the translation of research outcomes and achieve market-oriented applications. Other alumni also exchanged ideas on resource sharing and student practice and training.

Finally, accompanied by School leaders, the alumni visited the School’s laboratories and learned about the School’s research achievements and related work.

This exchange and discussion built a bridge of connection between the School and its Suzhou alumni, providing support for deeper cooperation between the two sides in the future and for the rapid development of the School.
